Much Ado About Secession As against the necessities of the Common Man - The Need For Institutional Rebirth
Secession - Wikipedia
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secession
Secession (derived from the Latin term secessio) is the withdrawal of a group from a larger entity, especially a political entity (a country), but also any organization, union or military alliance. Threats of secession can also be a strategy for achieving more limited goals.
Will these Secession agenda also kill the real enemy of our nationhood. The greed in leadership.
Behind all these agenda is still greed so rooted in the fabrics of governance. Those wicked leaders are just looking for distractions to cover their tracks for all their embezzlements and the resulting economic failure.
Ask yourself, is the center of power responsible for the failure of government in your very community, where a Councillor at the very grassroots of governance, use taxpayer's money to relocate to GRA after election or the next to this, Local Government Chairman, using taxpayer's money to buy various properties around town and fleet of cars. Those are not people from another tribe and tongue but people speaking our very grassroot language.
When we allow those people to sell these agenda to us, we only give them a better platform to gain more greedy ground.
Then, the next phase will be Osun Nation or Ogun nation or Oyo nation or Ibadan looking for capital status or Ijebu Ode wanting to be nations capital or Modakeke wanting to be the capital of Osun Nation or Kwara wanting to be the capital of Yoruba nation, then the Gambaris will claim superiority and so on.
Who will suffer in all these SELFISH prowess, those that have always suffered; the common people that just wants the basic things of life- FOOD,CLOTHES, SHELTER AND SECURITY.
Why do we have Government - even the definition provides the foundational need for Government - It is for the establishment and enforcement of law and order with the underling agenda of making the impact of governance far reaching to the common people of the society.
Less than 1% of the population in the various societies are in these various Government and we all have the power to ensure they account to us.
We should take the fight to these people as against chasing the smokescreens.
Our real enemies are not geographically located but Institutionally.
When we overhaul our governing Institutions and empower and position them to be accountable to us, then we can have a nation as big as Africa and yet the common people will feel the impact of Governance no matter how far from the center of Power they are.
Or is that not the overall agenda???
