Legacy of Subsistence Must become Obsolete

Legacy of Subsistence Must become Obsolete

Legacy of Subsistence Was Our Heritage But.... The Future Can Only Survive on the Philosophy of Business Mentality and Development of Business Modules as the new Legacy and Heritage going forward.

From Odusina Adewale Hiworks

Subsistence has been our philosophy subconsciously  and this has informed our general disposition lifestyle.

From birth,  it is handed down; prayer routine, school routine, work for pay routine, earn to live routine, marriage routine, rent or build for your family routine,  own family cars routine, send your children and some dependants  to school routines, some overseas holiday routine, retirement plan routine, Living on Pension and Children handouts routine.

For those with extra income the routine is extended to having additional wives, additional cars, more traditional and political titles. more holidays, more parties, more clubbing,  more drinking,  more drugs

The above lifestyle models characterized by CONSUMPTION was passed down by most of our fathers and very few had a different orientation with legacy businesses that have been around  for over 100years.

The future can only trife on production where at least one in every family units is in production that can engage at least 10-20 persons, and gradually increase production and personnel to 200 and more. The business must of necessity develop upon principles, regulatory systems and succession philosophy that is performance driven as blood lines right to leadership ascession is grossly inadequate for developing legacy companies.

Blood lines should only give right to profit sharing while those equipped to run businesses are empower to do so.

To be continued....

[2/13, 16:03] Adeoye Bakare: Very well said.  But how do we start?

[2/13, 16:45] Odusina Adewale Hiworks: Afternoon sir,  I think it starts with us getting financial and business education of some sort and also encouraging our children to do same early enough.

[2/13, 19:47] Adeoye Bakare: Is it about these only? Methink the basic factor is trust! On the very smallest level, we have seen associates/workers who have messed up companies that were entrusted to them. ..
[2/13, 20:18] Odusina Adewale Hiworks: No Sir, I said it starts with us having the knowledge base to anticipate opportunities around us.  We may have passion for certain interest but that may not be where the big break is. Sometimes we are not able to see all the derivatives of what we do and increase our market share of the pool.

As the visioneer, we need capacity for making businesses and also managing the returns first.  We must be able to interpreted the strength, weakness, opportunities and the threats first hand.

[2/13, 22:13] Adeoye Bakare: You haven't answered my que. ...

[2/14, 01:36] Odusina Adewale Hiworks: Sir,  Trust is a critical success factor and in the midst of all the wolves, there are trusted hands and they are everywhere too in all industry.

We must be able to identify such and also have the strategy for retainership.

Everywhere I have worked,  there are people that have invested all their work life with them;  over 20years.
